Majority of the selected people and the elites of Yazd Province in the fields of the Holy Quran, science, culture, art , industry, sports, labor, guilds, economy and agriculture Saturday Evening for three and half hours paid a homage to his Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution. In this meeting, seventeen selected people of the Yazd province made their presentations.
Considering his meeting with the elites and the selected as tasteful and pleasurable like one with other elites, the leader added, "Holding up such meetings has an actual, functional and symbolic aspect, the actual dimension of which is to thank and appreciate the elites.
Symbolic aspect, the leader pointed out, bears this message that in case Iranian nation and youth as well as officials call for progress and national accelerating move towards the ideals portrayed, they should appreciate the elites and preserve their status in the country,.
Regarding use of elitism privilege in a way to make it profitable for people and society, his Eminence underlined the elites in no disappointment should incessantly keep on moving towards progress in the face of hardships in various fields by relying upon their own capabilities and honor and maintaining independence.
"Iran and Iranians are stepping forward to achieve progress and ideals and elites in their own turn should contribute to this achievement", the leader explicated.
His Eminence, Ayatollah Khamenei also glorified services and valuable works of professor Mahdi Azaryazdi.
Addressing the leader in the end, a number of the selected and the elites made some important points as follows:
1. Priority shall be given to mine and industry plans in Yazd Province, particularly steel industry.
2. Plentiful capacity for using solar energy exists in Yazd province and establishment of Solar Energy Research Center is necessary.
3. Religious sciences and debates shall be aimed at various school levels and doubts raised by the young generation shall be removed.
4. The lesson books shall be revised in content and quantity with an aim to lead the students to thinking and creativity.
5. Endeavor more than ever shall be made on the holy Qur'an in order to satisfy main needs of mankind.
6. Serious consideration of media shall be given to familial foundations based on the religious doctrines.
7. The Iranian-Islamic patterns shall be revived in architecture and urban development.
8. Increasing attention shall be paid to worker's problems especially re-organization of temporary contracts.
9. An exhaustive definition of elites shall be presented.
10. Organized and defined communication shall be created between industry, elites and researchers.
11. And more serious endeavor shall be rendered on Yazd handicrafts and handicraft marketplaces.
