Sheikh Muhammad Sabah al-Salim al-Sabah further referred to a recent statement issued by the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) on the peaceful utilization of nuclear energy. He underlined Iran's indisputable right to use unclear energy for peaceful purposes.
The Leader's advisor on international affairs Ali-Akbar Velayati, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the Kuwaiti emir's positive and constructive measure. He said that solidarity and cooperation among Muslim nations plays a major role in preventing the aliens' illegitimate interference in their internal affairs.
"We welcome the Kuwaiti government's proposal for the expansion of full-scale cooperation between the two countries," Velayati told the Kuwaiti official.
At the meeting, the two sides also stressed the need to support and strengthen the Prime Minister Nouri al-Malaki's government in Iraq, make every endeavor to promote unity and brotherhood among Muslims, including the Shia and the Sunni, cooperate in restoring peace and security in Iraq, counter the measures that are aimed at causing discord and disunion among Muslims and foil the aliens' attempts at fanning the flames of war in the region.
