Chiefs of Judiciaries of Islamic Countries Meet the Leader

The participants in the first gathering of the chiefs of judiciaries of Islamic countries in Tehran met the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei on Wednesday, December 5.
In an address to the audience, the Leader stated that Islamic law is quite capable of fulfilling the requirements of mankind, especially the need for justice, at the present time. He pointed out that self-confidence and reliance on Almighty Allah will provide solutions to the problems of the Islamic world.
"The judiciaries of Islamic countries are expected to hold independent views and return to the divine teachings with regard to the issue of judgment and make every effort to rebuild and renovate the edifice of Islamic judgment," the Leader told the audience.
Ayatollah Khamenei also noted that the holding of gatherings such as the one that was held in Tehran will prepare the ground for the exchange of views among Muslim ulama and scholars. He added that Muslim nations should make use of every opportunity for promoting affinity and harmony and good will among themselves in order to help realize the ideals and objectives of the Islamic world.
Further in his statements, the Leader of the Islamic Republic described Islamic law as among the most advanced of its kind in the world.
"Despite the progressive nature of Islamic law and judgment, Western world is insinuating, through its cultural domination, that Islamic law is not capable of meeting the modern requirements of mankind and, unfortunately, the judiciaries of Islamic countries have also been influenced by Western law and judgment," the Leader remarked.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the lack of justice and security and spirit of brotherhood and also the unbridled hegemony exercised by certain powers as the outcomes of Western cultural domination.
"Today, the world is thirsty for justice and security, and in the seemingly civilized Western countries claiming to advocate free thought Muslims are treated in a very discriminatory and humiliating manner, while in Islamic countries, including Iran, religious minorities are living in peace and freedom and practicing their religion," Ayatollah Khamenei observed.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader of the Islamic Republic emphasized that Western culture and civilization is not able to provide justice and security for human beings. He stated that it is the progressive Islamic precepts that are capable of fulfilling the basic requirements of mankind, including the need for justice.
Ayatollah Khamenei further referred to the discrimination that has resulted from Western cultural and political and economic dominance. He described the oppressive and cruel behavior of Zionists toward the Palestinian people and the condemned silence of Western world in the face of this oppression and cruelty as an instance of existing discrimination in the world.
"Under the circumstances, Muslims should have self-confidence and rely on Almighty Allah and boost their unity and act with appropriate plans in order to be able to achieve their desired objectives, and Almighty Allah has also promised that wherever righteous deeds are performed, divine assistance is certain," Ayatollah Khamenei told the audience.
In conclusion, the Leader of the Islamic Republic called on the judicial officials of Islamic countries to follow up the decisions that have been made at their gathering in Tehran with concrete measures.
