Leader Appoints New Members of the High Council of Cultural Revolution

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Considering that the tenure of the present members of the High Council of Cultural Revolution has expired, those who are named below as well as the legal persons who were specified in the previous decree are appointed as new members of the High Council of Cultural Revolution for a three-year term:
1. Hajji Sheikh Ahmad Jannati; 2. Dr. Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel;
3. Dr. Hassan Habibi; 4. Mir-Hossein Mousavi;
5. Dr. Ahmad Ahmadi; 6. Dr. Ali Shariatmadari;
7. Dr. Reza Davari; 8. Dr. Aliakbar Velayati;
9. Dr. Iraj Fazel; 10. Dr. Mohammad-Reza Aref;
11. Dr. Mahdi Golshani; 12. Dr. Ali Larijani;
13. Sayyid Alireza Sadr-Hosseini; 14. Dr. Mohammad-Ali Kaynejad;
15. Mohsen Qomi; 16. Hassan Rahimpour;
17. Dr. Mohammad-Reza Mokhber; 18. Dr. Sadeq Vaezzadeh;
19. Aliakbar Sadeqi-Reshad; 20. Mahmoud Mohammadi-Araqi;
21. Dr. Mansour Kabkanian; 22. Dr. Hossein Kachouian.
The recommendations concerning the new term are included in the attachment to this decree.

It is worthy of mention that according to a previous decree issued by the Leader of the Islamic Republic, the legal persons on the High Council of Cultural Revolution include the heads of the three government branches, the minister of culture and Islamic guidance, the minister of science, research and technology, the minister of health, treatment and medical training, the minister of education, the director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), the director of the Management and Planning Organization, the director of the Islamic Propagation Organization, the director of the Leader's representative office at the Iranian universities, the director of University Jihad, the chair of the women's socio-cultural council, the chancellor of Islamic Azad University, and the chairmen of the 'training and research', 'cultural', and 'health and treatment' commissions of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
