His Eminence reiterated: "As far as Islamic Awakening is concerned, it is necessary to pay serious attention to the role of religion and the role of faith in God and Quranic teachings because any movement that relies on religious beliefs will be invulnerable and permanent."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described Islamic Awakening as a historic development for the entire Islamic Ummah and reiterated: "This movement is a genuine wave of Islamic Awakening and it is the result of many lessons that the Arab nations have learned over the years and their deep understanding and firm determination. Therefore, the name ‘Arab Spring' is inadequate for this great movement."
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed: "This movement will never end. It will continue and by Allah's favor, it will determine the course of the history of the Islamic Ummah."
His Eminence added: "This movement is indicative of a great historic event which will result in a great transformation in the Islamic Ummah."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution reiterated: "Poets of the Islamic Ummah should play a role in this great and historic event."
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that poets should pay special attention to Islamic unity in their poems, further adding: "Widespread efforts are being made in order to stop this great wave of Islamic Awakening by fomenting discord among Muslims, but the Islamic Ummah must overcome the religious, ethnic and political causes of discord."
