On the eighth day of his trip to Kermanshah province, Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution met Wednesday morning with the people of Kangavar. Speaking at the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the advances made by the Iranian nation over the past three decades and added that the satanic powers know that the people of the region have awakened and that they have focused their attention on the Iranian nation. His Eminence said that the arrogant powers are using all the methods and facilities that are available to them in order to prevent the Iranian nation and its resistance from becoming a model for the wave of Islamic Awakening in the region.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the enemies are trying to present a bleak picture of Iran's domestic situation by magnifying its weaknesses and discounting its advances. He referred to the policies of the Pahlavi regime and its submission to the orders and policies of America and England, further adding: "What infuriates the enemy is that Iran has turned into a nation that has stood up against the hegemonic powers and is fighting their greed and bullying in a completely dignified and independent way, thanks to the Islamic Revolution and its base of support among the people."
His Eminence stressed that the Iranian nation has completed the difficult part of its path in a powerful and glorious way and that it will complete the remaining part successfully by relying on unity, hope and resistance.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution added that reaching the ultimate goal requires persistence and not being satisfied with middle-term achievements.
