Leader Urges Government Officials to Avoid Pessimistic EvaluationIn a meeting with heads and members of Iran's chambers of commerce, Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution urged government officials to present an appropriate and promising evaluation of the country's conditions.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to Iran's advances in different areas, especially in economic matters, and reiterated that it is necessary to avoid painting a bleak picture when explaining the conditions of the country.

His Eminence said that encouraging the private sector to be present in great economic arenas is an important responsibility of Iran's chambers of commerce. He added that chambers of commerce should define and fulfill their role in the country with hope and with a sense of responsibility.

Elsewhere in his statements, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the enemies of the Islamic Republic are trying to harm Iran through sanctions and other machinations. "The goal of exerting pressure on us was to disappoint the people and to defeat the Revolution, but they cannot overcome the popular and divine movement of the Iranian nation because we are confident that we will overcome all these machinations as long as our hearts are full of hope and as long as we make selfless efforts."
