Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution met this morning with the participants of the 28th International Quran Competitions. During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Holy Quran is the most important factor that can bring about unity, dignity and glory for the Islamic Ummah. Ayatollah Khamenei said that international Quran competitions are indicative of the enormous potential of the Holy Quran for bringing Muslims together.
His Eminence highlighted Muslim nations' failure to pay attention to the Holy Quran's potential for uniting Muslims and added: "Lack of faith in Quranic concepts and divine promises is another instance of failure which has practically prevented the Islamic Ummah from achieving unity, dignity and power."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran was dependent on America and the Zionists before the Revolution. He reiterated: "Iran's becoming a powerful pole of fighting arrogance and Zionism is a genuine miracle and an instance of divine assistance which has been promised in the Holy Quran."
His Eminence said that the regional uprisings are another sign that Quranic promises will be fulfilled. He added: "America, the evil Zionist camp and their political allies in the region were not even prepared to think about the possibility of an uprising by the Egyptian nation, but the Egyptians stepped into the arena of helping God's religion with congregational and Friday prayers, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar'. And by assisting the Egyptian nation, God proved once again that if He assists a person, no power can overcome that person."
