His Eminence stated that the intelligence service of the Islamic Republic was established by faithful and revolutionary youth. He reiterated: "Being indigenous and not following any intelligence system in the world as a model are among the prominent advantages of the Islamic Republic's intelligence service."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the intelligence service is based on a combination of effort and reliance on God, further adding: "Considering the outstanding characteristics of this organization, the Ministry of Intelligence should always be strictly committed to the principles of the Revolution and observe the legal and religious limits with utmost care."
Ayatollah Khamenei described commitment to laws and regulations as extremely important and stressed: "Observing the law and being hopeful about the future are the requirement of religious commitment and piety."
His Eminence stressed the need for the adoption of a comprehensive, strategic and profound perspective in the Ministry of Intelligence and reiterated: "Good long-term plans have been prepared by the Ministry of Intelligence, but comprehensive and strategic plans should be prepared and completed for other important areas because preparing profound and long-term plans is the most essential duty of this organization."
Ayatollah Khamenei underlined the need for preserving solidarity in the Ministry of Intelligence and being vigilant against the infiltration of the enemy and problematic intellectual and political movements.
Elsewhere in his speech, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the surge of Islamic Awakening in the region is an extraordinary event and added: "The current developments in the region will definitely affect the future of the world. Therefore, it is necessary to actively follow these events and to carefully analyze different aspects of it."
His Eminence said that the current wave of Islamic Awakening in the region has been inspired by the Islamic Revolution in Iran and added that it is the result of the resistance of the Iranian nation. He reiterated: "The camp of arrogance, especially America, knows well that Iran's Islamic Revolution is the role model of these popular movements. Therefore, they are trying to present this role model as an unsuccessful and failed experience. This is while they were frustrated by the presence of millions of people on the 22nd of Bahman."
