Leader’s Condolatory Message on the Demise of Ayatollah Askari

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei on September 18, 2007 issued a condolatory message on the demise of the prominent researcher and writer Ayatollah Hajji Sayyid Mortaza Askari. In his message, the Leader condoled with the senior ulama and Islamic seminaries and the esteemed family and honorable progeny of the deceased. The text of the Leader's message is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I express my condolence over the loss of the prominent researcher and writer the late Ayatollah Hajji Sayyid Mortaza Askari to the senior ulama and Islamic seminaries and to his students and associates and friends and, in particular, to the esteemed family and honorable progeny of the deceased.
This magnanimous and assiduous scholar spent tens of years of his prolific life researching on dialectic and history and Hadith, whose auspicious outcome is the writings and essays which have received great acclaim throughout the Islamic world, and which have achieved remarkable success in promoting the teachings of the Holy Prophet's household (peace and greetings be upon them).
May the mercy of Allah be upon this diligent and assiduous and indefatigable scholar.
