Zionist regime defeated in Gaza

Why was the Zionist regime defeated in Gaza? Victory is not about killing women and children

The Gaza war, despite causing widespread destruction and immense devastation for the people of this region, ended in favor of the Resistance — contrary to what the Zionist regime had anticipated. Victory in war is not measured solely by the number of casualties or the scale of devastation; rather, the ultimate goal of any war is to achieve strategic objectives. In this battle, the Zionist regime not only failed to attain its declared goals but also suffered irreparable defeats in many areas. This article examines 14 key reasons behind the regime’s failure against the Palestinian Resistance.

1. Regime’s failure to achieve declared objectives

Netanyahu had announced three main goals for the Gaza war: destroying Hamas, securing the release of captives, and establishing lasting security for the Zionist regime. However, after months of intense attacks, not only was Hamas not eliminated, but it emerged as an even stronger player in regional equations, solidifying its position at the forefront of global liberation movements through the resilience and steadfastness of the people of Gaza. Israel failed to free the captives through military operations and was ultimately forced to accept a ceasefire and a deal. Security was also not restored to the occupied territories whatsoever; instead, the nightmare of rocket attacks and Resistance operations now threatens the Zionists more than ever before.

2. Loss of military deterrence

The criminal Zionist regime has always emphasized its military superiority in the region, but this war demonstrated that its deterrence is ineffective even against a relatively small group like Hamas. The extensive attacks failed to stop the Resistance, and, even after months of war, Resistance forces retained the capability to carry out military operations. The occupying regime’s inability to compensate for this defeat indicates that no country in the region fears its military power anymore.

3. Growing international isolation and discrediting of the Holocaust

Israel’s extensive crimes in Gaza have sparked global outrage. The images and videos of massacring civilians have placed the Zionist regime in the position of a war criminal regime. Notably, these atrocities have also cast doubt on the historical credibility of the Holocaust, because a regime that presents itself as the victim of a historical genocide is now openly carrying out another genocide in Gaza. This contradiction has significantly eroded global support for Israel.

4. International conviction and risk of legal prosecution for Israeli heads

Following the war, multiple cases were filed in international courts against the heads of the Zionist regime. Many countries have called for international arrest warrants for Israeli military commanders and politicians. As a result, numerous Israeli officials now fear traveling to various countries, as they could face the risk of arrest. This has even affected the soldiers of the regime’s criminal army who had traveled abroad, marking a major diplomatic defeat for Israel.

5. Intelligence failure and inability to retrieve captives

One of Israel’s greatest failures in this war was its inability to locate the captives. Despite having access to the most advanced intelligence equipment and full cooperation from US intelligence services, the regime failed to find the precise location of the captives and was ultimately forced to accept a ceasefire to secure their release. This failure shattered the myth of Israel’s intelligence superiority and exposed its severe vulnerability in the face of the Resistance’s guerrilla tactics.

6. Failure of Global Arrogance in pitting Resistance against livelihood

The “resistance versus livelihood” dichotomy has long been the primary psychological warfare strategy of the West against the Resistance nation. Israel and its supporters believed that by imposing a severe economic blockade and increasing pressure on the people of Gaza, they could push them away from the Resistance — a strategy they have pursued for years in all Axis of Resistance countries. However, this policy clearly backfired in Gaza. Instead of surrendering, the people of Gaza became even more inclined toward the Resistance. Today, Resistance is more popular among Palestinians than ever before, proving that Israel’s strategy of using economic pressure has completely failed.

7. Globalization of Palestinian cause

Previously, the Palestinian issue was primarily regarded as a regional matter, mainly concerning the Islamic world. However, the recent war has transformed it into a global issue. Millions of people across the world — from Asia to Europe and the Americas — took to the streets to protest against Israel’s crimes. Today, Palestine is a humanitarian cause and support for it is no longer limited to Muslims.

8. Disruption of Zionist-US regional schemes for West Asia

Israel and the US had designed long-term schemes for West Asia, such as the “Deal of the Century” and the “IMEC Corridor,” aimed at solidifying the Zionist regime’s existence in the region and compelling regional countries to establish extensive ties with this regime. However, the Gaza war disrupted many of these schemes. Instead of normalizing relations with Arab states, Israel now faces a wave of hatred and resentment across the Islamic world, particularly at the grassroots level.

9. Islam as a successful model of resistance

One of the key outcomes of this war has been the recognition of Islam as the only successful model of resistance against Global Arrogance. While many political movements in the Arab world and even the West have surrendered to Zionism, Islamic Resistance groups have demonstrated that through faith and self-reliance, it is possible to stand firm against an armed-to-the-teeth enemy. This has inspired numerous liberation movements worldwide.

10. Discrediting of international system and Western civilization

The unconditional support of the US and Europe for Israel’s atrocities has further exposed the West’s double standards. This war revealed that Western human rights slogans are nothing more than tools for advancing the political interests of Global Arrogance. Many people around the world, particularly in Western countries, have lost trust in their governments’ policies. This has dealt a severe blow to the credibility of the international system.

11. Emergence of a new generation of Palestinian fighters

During the war, various Western sources reported that Hamas was rapidly recruiting new fighters. Beyond all of Israel’s defeats, this is another significant outcome of the Gaza battle: The birth of a new generation of Palestinian fighters who have witnessed the Zionist regime’s genocide firsthand. This is a generation raised and trained in the heart of the Resistance. The new generation will be even stronger, more aware, and more resilient than those before it, and this poses the greatest threat to Israel’s future.

12. Martyred Resistance commanders turning into historical legends

During the war, the Zionist regime sought to cover up its battlefield defeats by assassinating Resistance commanders and launching a media campaign around their names. Through these assassinations, it fantasized about bringing an end to the Resistance. However, its own propaganda efforts inadvertently revealed that these commanders were fighting alongside other warriors on the frontlines against the invading enemy. The very images that the Zionist regime broadcast as proof of its supposed victory instead immortalized these commanders as legendary figures in the history of the struggle against Global Arrogance and as role models for future generations of the Resistance.

13. Release of captives who had been incarcerated by Zionist regime for years

The Zionist regime, as part of the ceasefire agreement and retrieving its captives, was forced to release thousands of Palestinian captives from its jails. Many of these individuals were not members of Hamas but had been held captive from across the occupied territories in past years, leaving their families waiting for their return for years. The release of these captives by Hamas significantly boosted Hamas’s popularity across Palestinian cities. Notably, several senior Resistance leaders — such as Yahya Sinwar — were once freed in similar captive exchanges at the hands of the Zionists themselves.

14. Triumphant return of Resistance nation to northern Gaza and southern Lebanon

During the war in Gaza, after occupying various areas, the Zionist regime deliberately destroyed homes and infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, particularly in the northern parts of the enclave. According to reports from human rights organizations present in Gaza, the regime has either completely or partially destroyed more than 80% of homes in Gaza. The primary objective behind this widespread destruction of homes in Gaza was to prevent life from returning to northern Gaza and to pave the way for the Zionists’ sinister goals for the future of Gaza. On the other hand, one of the most important conditions set by the Resistance for the ceasefire was the safe return of northern Gaza’s residents in the first phase of the truce. This demand was fulfilled, and as they returned, the residents openly declared their support for the Resistance, creating historic moments.

In contrast, the situation in the northern Israeli-occupied territories is different. Even two months after the ceasefire with Hezbollah, residents of northern occupied territories have not returned to their settlements, and many have stated that they will never go back. This is while the Resistance nation in southern Lebanon, with a human influx, have made the occupiers evacuate many areas that were not evacuated due to the Zionists’ bad faith and settled in their villages, once again disgracing the boastful Zionist army before the eyes of the world.

Victory in war goes beyond destruction

Victory in war is not solely determined by the number of casualties or the extent of destruction. The key question is: Which side has achieved its objectives? In the Gaza war, despite all the crimes it committed and the devastation it caused, Israel failed to accomplish any of its goals. History has shown that no country has ever secured lasting victory through war crimes. Ultimately, war criminals become infamous in history — and that is the fate awaiting the Zionist regime.
