On the third day of his trip to Kurdistan province, Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution met with hundreds of enthusiastic nomadic chiefs of tribes living in Kurdistan, West Azerbaijan, and Kermanshah. Speaking at the meeting, the Leader described nomads as brave and loyal soldiers of Islam and Iran and added: "By Allah's favor and due to the vigilance and efforts of the people and government officials, a bright future is awaiting the great Iranian nation."
His Eminence said that the gathering of the heads of nomadic tribes from three different provinces clearly implies that the Iranian nation has accomplished and will continue to accomplish its achievements through unity and taking brave and vigilant measures.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that Kurdish nomads of the region had an important role in the achievements of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic, further reiterating: "Our magnanimous Imam (r.a.) used to describe nomads as assets to the Revolution, and the nomads of the country, especially the nomads living in the western and northwestern parts of our country, have proven the truth of this description by their active presence in the vicissitudes of the past thirty years."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the vigilance and sacrifices of the nomads of these regions played a determining role in foiling the plots of foreigners during the early stages of the Revolution. "The grateful Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic will not forget the heroic actions of the protectors of our borders," he noted.
His Eminence referred to the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran as the beginning of a worldwide transformation and a new intellectual movement. He added: "Islam and the Islamic Revolution are the cure for the sufferings that discrimination and injustice imposed on humanity throughout history."
The Leader described the bullying powers of the modern world as more dangerous than pharos of the past. He added that these bullying powers use their advanced technology to deceptively present themselves as philanthropic advocates of human rights.
His Eminence referred to the resistance of the Islamic Republic against global hypocrites and bullying powers as a great opportunity for the Iranian nation.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to security as the most important issue in Kurdistan and a prerequisite for making progress. He further stated that nomads, who have so far ensured security in Kurdistan, should further strengthen themselves and transfer this feeling of responsibility to their youth and children as well.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the enemies who are upset by their failures are seeking an opportunity to make up for their failures, further adding: "Vigilance and not worrying about unimportant matters are the prerequisites for continuing the victories against the enemies."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to cooperation between Iraqi Kurds and Iranian soldiers during the Sacred Defense Era and stated that there is a mutual sense of trust and solidarity between the Islamic Republic and the Iraqi Kurds who live across the border. He further reiterated: "However, the enemies will not sit back and are constantly seeking an opportunity to hatch plots or cause discord in order to deal a blow to the Islamic Republic. Therefore, everyone should stay vigilant, and increase their preparedness in cultural and political arenas."
His Eminence said that increasing security in Kurdistan will prepare the ground for employment, production, rendering services, construction, and progress. He further stated that the rate of progress in Kurdistan should be increased by making use of the enormous capacities of the nomadic youth as well as the valuable natural and human resources which are found in the province.
Ayatollah Khamenei further referred to the experience of the Islamic Republic during the past three decades and said that developing a positive perspective on the future of the country is realistic.
His Eminence further touched on the current position of the Islamic Republic in the world and the region, and referring to the heartfelt support of other nations for the Islamic Republic, he added: "The Islamic Republic has reached its current position by Allah's favor, and we need to move towards a bright and glorious future by avoiding complacency and maintaining unity and friendship between the nation and government officials."
