In a meeting this afternoon with the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the current situation in the region after the two historic victories achieved by the resistance forces and said that Lebanon has now turned into the heart of the Middle East region. He further added that the victory of the people of Gaza in the 22-day war was the result of the victory of the Islamic resistance forces in the 33-day war in Lebanon.
His Eminence said the current pressure exerted on Lebanon was due to the importance of the country and added that the current situation in the region is indicative of the failure of the plots and efforts of the US, the Zionist regime, and those who support them.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution further added that relying on Allah, maintaining unity and wisdom will help overcome all the enemies' plots.
Ayatollah Khamenei further stressed the importance of staying vigilant against the enemies and added that despite the changes which have occurred in the US, the same goals are still being pursued by the Americans.
In this meeting which was also attended by Mr. Larijani the Iranian Majlis Speaker, the Lebanese Parliament Speaker Mr. Berri presented a report on the developments in Lebanon, and said that the current situation in the region is due to the wars which occurred in Gaza and southern Lebanon. He further added that after the losses suffered by the Zionist regime on the military front, the war is still being continued on the political front.
Mr. Berri said that the US and the Zionist regime are trying to instill pessimism into the Palestinian people about the legitimate Palestinian government by hindering the process of the reconstruction of Gaza, but they will not succeed in achieving their goals
