Praise be to Allah, who has existed since before the creation of the throne, the seat, the sky, the earth, the jinn, and human beings. He transcends imagination and eludes comprehension. Seeking from Him does not divert His attention from others, nor does His generous giving diminish His abundance. He observes without the need for an eye, and He is not confined to any place. He has no mate and has no need for limbs or instruments when creating. He transcends the grasp of the senses and cannot be compared to human beings. (from Nahjul Balagha; Sermon 182)
O believers, those who witness oppression and disapprove of it in their hearts are sound and have not sinned. Those who voice their disapproval will be rewarded, and their position is higher than the former. Meanwhile, those who actively resist oppression with their sword, aiming to uphold the flag of monotheism and to bring down the flag of the oppressors, have entered the path of guidance and have risen up on the path of God.
