In a letter to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei described the recent achievement by Iranian scientists as a testimony to the hopes which the Islamic Revolution created in the hearts of people.
The following is the full text of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei.
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Grand Ayatollah Khamenei,
On the occasion of the 10-day Fajr ceremonies and the fourth decade of the victory of the Islamic Revolution - the decade of justice and progress - I proudly inform you about the recent achievement made by the children of the Revolution in aerospace industry.
After a period of constant strenuous efforts, they managed to develop the required technology to build satellites, satellite launchers, and satellite stations.
On the eve of Imam Musa al-Kadhim's birth anniversary, the first Iranian satellite was launched into space to spread the message of monotheism, justice, peace, and friendship in the world.
This achievement will undoubtedly mark the beginning of great scientific achievements in the country and will promote the position of the Iranian nation in the world. Hopefully, this achievement will raise the spirits of the world's freedom seeking nations, will promote self-confidence among the Iranian youth, and will help their God-given talents flourish more than before.
I congratulate you, the Imam of the Age, and the great Iranian nation on this great achievement. On behalf of those involved in the project, I express my sincere gratitude to you for your support and for your useful directions which brought hope to those in charge of the project. I hope you will extend your guidance and attention to the faithful and ambitious Iranian youth.
