Let's ask God once to show us the right path. If the right path is this general path, then a person should just pray for this one, a hundred, or a thousand times and be done with it. Why should one say this every day? I believe that the reason we say it every day is because there are always paths that may lead a person “astray” or toward “God’s wrath” if he/she makes a mistake. [But] if a person makes correct judgements, they will be among those “upon whom God has bestowed His blessings.” (May 16, 1997) Those who preserve the blessings of God are those who are on the path of the prophets, the path of the righteous, the path of the truthful, and the path of the martyrs. (1978) You must preserve and foster God's blessings and remove faults. (May 9, 2005) This is repeated in every prayer so that we will not neglect this. (May 16, 1997)
