Iran Will Not Give Up Its Rights

 The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei met today with Ecuador's President Rafael Correa and his accompanying delegation. In this meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei described resistance as the only way to make progress and stated: "Mounting resistance requires brave leaders, and such leaders can be found in the Latin American region."

Referring to the hatred of Latin American countries and the other countries of the world towards the United States, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the nations of the world are tired of the pressure and domination of the arrogant powers. His Eminence further said that only brave leaders can free their nations from the domination of the arrogant powers.

Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the insatiable desires of the world's domineering powers and said: "Resistance is the only way for the world's nations to defend their rights, but some of world's leaders continually retreat before the bullying powers instead of defending the rights of their nations."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also referred to the resistance of the Iranian nation during the past thirty years, especially during the Sacred Defence Era and stated: "Imam Khomeini (r.a.) taught us to put up resistance against the enemies, and the Iranian nation has gained a lot of benefits from such resistance."

His Eminence further added: "The current achievements of the Islamic Republic are by no means comparable to those of the pre-Revolution era."

Ayatollah Khamenei said: "The nations of the world have to pay the costs for mounting resistance against the domineering powers, but the benefits which are gained by resistance are much more valuable."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution further added that the Islamic Republic does not support aggressive policies, but neither will it give up its rights.

In this meeting which was also attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Mr. Correa expressed his delight at meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei and referred to the Iranian nation as a brave and determined nation. He said: "The Islamic Republic has made great progress during the past thirty years despite all the sanctions and the 8-year Iraqi imposed war."

Mr. Correa also appreciated Imam Khomeini and his resistance against the world's arrogant powers and said that the people of Ecuador have chosen to tread the same path.

The President of Ecuador also referred to his meeting with the Iranian President and said that Ecuador intends to improve its relations with Iran and will try to make use of Iran's experience in different fields.
