The news of the tragic martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei (may God’s pleasure be upon him), along with the martyrdom of a number of commanders of the Revolutionary Guard and the Army, and the killing of several innocent compatriots—especially defenseless women and children—has created a wave of grief and sorrow throughout the Islamic Ummah, particularly among the noble people of Iran.
I extend my condolences for this painful and heartbreaking tragedy to the presence of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance), to the entire Islamic Ummah—especially the eminent scholars and grand maraji'—and in particular to the respected families of the martyrs. I ask Almighty God to grant them elevated ranks, vast mercy, and Divine Ridwan.
Ayatollah Khamenei was a true embodiment of the saying, “Life is nothing but belief and jihad.” From his youth until the final moments of his noble life, with his pen, his speech, and his very soul, he strove to clarify the teachings of Islam and to wisely manage the country—until, in the blessed month of Ramadan, he attained the immense grace of martyrdom and became the guest of his noble forefather, the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (pbuh).
We ask Almighty God not to leave the pure blood of these innocent martyrs unanswered, but to take retribution from the vile, malicious, and savage enemies. We call upon the great nation of Iran to preserve cohesion and unity of word. Almighty God is the Protector of this country and this system.
