Tree Planting Day throughout the country is an auspicious day and ceremony. This is because plants and trees are a source of blessing in human life. And this is the meaning of auspicious. "Auspicious" means something that contains a blessing. Plants are a source of blessing. They produce air, they preserve water and they yield fruits for humanity. They also make the environment beautiful and spectacular. So, plants are valuable and beneficial to humans in every sense. Therefore, everyone should attach significance to the issue of plants, tree planting, grasslands, forests and everything that is related to the issue of trees and green growth.
One of the tasks that officials should definitely pay attention to is preventing the existing trees in cities from being destroyed. There are some gardens in the city of Tehran. There are big houses with some gardens inside the city whose owners or others have cast greedy eyes on. They want to destroy them. They want to destroy the trees in order to use the land for some purposes. Extreme caution should be exercised in order to prevent this which causes considerable damage to civil life and civil comfort.
One of the most important and necessary tasks in the area of tree plantation and the environment is the issue of watershed management. If the organizations in charge take the issue of watershed management seriously and if they attach significance to it whether the areas which are related to the Ministry of Agriculture or the areas which are related to the Ministry of Energy then both unnecessary floods and haze will be prevented and the other advantages of plants and trees will be felt as well. During the process of watershed management, if they can plant fruit-yielding trees in watershed centers, the benefits will possibly be more. Of course, it is experts who should give their opinion in this regard.
I hope that by Allah's favor, all the people who plant trees today and on these days will benefit from divine kindness, blessings and satisfaction.
