In referring to the lofty characteristics of Hazrat Siddiqa al-Kubra, including her social undertakings and selfless service to the people, the Leader of the Revolution described heyats [a group of people who hold religious gatherings to remember and honor the Household of the Prophet (pbut)] as being the focal point for great struggle on the path of God. He stated, “The heyats should be places for enlightening the people and providing convincing, correct answers to the questions posed by society, particularly by the youth.”

Imam Khamenei’s commendation of the book “Cry Alone”

On September 1980, immediately after the Islamic Revolution, Iran entered an imposed war started by Saddam Hussein and supported by many Western powers. This war lasted for eight years and constitutes an important part of the history and identity of the Iranian people and Islamic Revolution. In a decree, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution appointed the members of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution for the new four-year period and expressed his gratitude to the previous members, particularly the scholars and experts who will no longer be present in the new term. He referred to the foundation and general makeup of culture being based on revolutionary order and substance and being the only means for remaining safe against the cultural invasions and media attacks made by outsiders.

However, this year due to the Coronavirus pandemic and health protocols, this Arabeen ceremony was held at the University of Tehran with Leader’s taking part via videoconference.
