U.S. fails

From now on, U.S. will never achieve its goals in our region: Imam Khamenei

Just a few days ago, the U.S. President announced that they’ve spent seven trillion USD in Western Asia—or the "Middle-East" as he called it—and they [U.S.] made no profit. He is right: they didn’t gain a thing. The U.S. must know, from now on, too, no matter how much they spend or how much they endeavor, they will certainly gain nothing from this region!

The U.S. President announced that they've spent seven trillion dollars in Western Asia! He himself says that the issue is not about millions and billions, rather it is about trillions: "We have spent seven trillion dollars" – seven trillion! – “in the region, but we have gained nothing in return!" He, himself, has claimed this, and this reeks of defeat. The US has been defeated in the region. Despite all those efforts, chasing of temptations, and his claims, the US – the Great Satan – has not managed to achieve his goals in the region.

They have spent so much money and to no avail: "And so will they continue to spend, but in the end, they will have only regrets and sighs. Eventually, they will be overcome," [The Holy Quran, 8: 36]--this is a Quranic ayah. They have spent tons of money, but they have not reaped a single benefit. From now on, too, no matter how much the satanic powers spend in the region, the result will be the same.

Just two, three days ago, Trump wrote a letter to the heads of Persian Gulf countries [Saudi, Bahrain, etc.]. We managed to get access to the content of the letter and read it. In that letter, he wrote to them that they should unite to carry out certain missions. He stated, "I have spent seven trillion dollars here for you." Petty man, did you really spend seven trillion dollars? Maybe you have spent seven trillion dollars to dominate Iraq and Syria, but you failed hell to do so!

He says that they should carry out one plan or another: there are many "demands" in his letter. He sent this letter to all officials of those countries. They [USA gov.] want to issue "demands" to the Islamic Republic as well; because they cannot, they exhibit enmity and aspire to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran. Their fight is over this [the Islamic establishment.]

This morning’s military action on Syria was a crime[1]. I, unequivocally, declare the President of the United States, the French President [Emmanuel Macron], and the Prime Minister of Britain [Theresa May] as criminals; they have committed a crime. Of course, they will benefit from none of these attacks; just as it was while in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan, where they were present over the past years committing the same criminal acts; they gained no advantage.

Now the enemy has focused on the economic front, after being defeated on the cultural front, on the security front, on the political front, and on the military front. I reassure you that the enemy will also be defeated, by God’s Grace, on the economic front. They make every effort to win this war: they talk to the Iranian nation through treachery and deception. You may view a mentally incompetent person on a TV program, addressing the Iranian nation, saying "Your government is spending your money in Syria and Iraq.” he is ignorant.

These incompetent people are those whose boss [Donald Trump] said: "We spent seven trillion dollars in the region--that is, in Syria and Iraq--and we didn’t gain anything." They are right; according to them, they spent seven thousand billion dollars there, and they haven’t gained anything so far. The Islamic Republic has not done anything comparable! The governments of Syria and Iraq are our friends, they were threatened by the United States and by Saudi Arabia, but we helped them. We will also help them in the future: we will help any government that is our friend. It is not a matter of giving money or the like, [but] it represents normal exchanges between states when they take, give, buy, and sell. Nevertheless, he [Trump] talks in that manner cause the Iranian nation to become hesitant about the positions of the Islamic system and the government of the Islamic Republic.
