Head 1

Islamic Republic of Iran is well-equipped in both diplomatic and military fields

Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met with the head and top officials of the Judiciary Branch, along with chief justices from across the country this morning, July 16, 2025, in the Imam Khomeini (ra) Hussainiyah.

In this meeting, the Leader analyzed the Iranian nation’s tremendous achievement in the recent imposed war and highlighted the collapse of the aggressors’ calculations and schemes. Referring to the magnificent unity of the Iranian people across various political and ideological spectrums in defense of dear Iran, he emphasized: “Every single person has a duty towards maintaining this state [of unity].”

Imam Khamenei stated: “The Iranian nation accomplished a great feat in the recent Imposed War. This great accomplishment wasn’t military in nature. It was a matter of determination. It was a matter of determination and self-confidence. The very fact that a nation, a country, and its Armed Forces possess the self-confidence to stand up in confronting face to face the power of the US and its chained dog in the region, the Zionist regime, carries immensely significant value in itself.” The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that both friends and foes must realize that the Iranian nation will never enter any arena as the weaker side. He continued: “This is because we have all the necessary tools. We possess both logic and strength. Whenever we enter a field, both diplomatic and military fields, we will enter well-equipped and completely prepared, God willing and with His grace.” He added: “Yes, we consider the Zionist regime a cancer, and we regard the American regime as a criminal for supporting it. But we did not welcome war; we did not go looking for it. However, when the enemy launched an attack, our response was crushing.” Imam Khamenei cited the Zionist regime’s appeal to the United States as clear evidence of the strength of Iran’s retaliatory blow. He said: “Had it not been brought to its knees, had it not been pinned to the ground, had it not felt the need, if it was capable of defending itself, it would not have turned to the US in the manner that it did. It turned to America. It realized it could not continue to stand against the Islamic Republic.”

Regarding Iran’s reciprocal strike against American aggression, the Leader described it as “a highly sensitive and strategic blow.” He noted: “The center [Al Udeid Air Base] that was attacked by Iran was an extremely important US center in the region. God willing, once censorship is removed, it will become clear what Iran has truly done. although it is certainly possible to inflict an even greater blow upon the US and others, God willing.”

Highlighting the emergence of a national phenomenon during the recent war, Imam Khamenei said this presence foiled the enemy’s plans. He explained: “Those who carried out the attack had made certain calculations – and they had truly calculated it this way. This was something they had sat down and planned. Their assumption was that when they attacked Iran and its sensitive centers, and eliminated a number of key figures from the Iranian government and within the Islamic Iran system – then naturally, the system would be weakened. It would be at this point, [they thought,] that the sleeper cells of the MEK, monarchists, mercenaries, thugs, and hooligans, would become active. They become active, come into the midst of society, incite the people, and do their best to drag individuals into the streets and, in short, they aim to "finish off" the system.” He continued: “But what actually happened? The enemy's attack demonstrated that many of the assessments made by some people are inaccurate.”

The Leader emphasized that the mask had fallen from the face of the aggressor, and their hidden goals were exposed to the public. He said: “God thwarted their plan. and drew the people into the field in support of the government and the Islamic system. He brought the people into the field in support of the government and the system. They showed their willingness to support the system, both with their lives and their wealth.”

He considered the unity formed by individuals of varying religious influence and even opposing political leanings as a “profound national solidarity,” emphasizing the necessity of preserving this profound unity. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution called on officials to continue their work with full vigor and spirit. Quoting the Quranic verse “Allah will surely help those who help Him,” he said: “Each and every person should know that Almighty God has guaranteed His help for the Iranian nation under the Islamic system and under the protection of the Quran and Islam. The Iranian nation will definitely be victorious.”

In the latter part of his speech, the Leader underscored the necessity of legal action regarding the war crimes committed by the Zionist regime during the recent conflict. He urged the Judiciary to pursue the recent crimes seriously, with precision, and full awareness through both international and domestic courts, taking all aspects into account.

At the beginning of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mohseni Ejei, Head of the Judiciary, presented a report on the Judiciary's recent performance.
