In order to accomplish this important objective and reinforce the Basij Volunteer Force both quantitatively and qualitatively, the new position of deputy chief of general staff of Iranian Armed Forces for Basij-related affairs is created.
Considering the recommendation of the chief of general staff of Iranian Armed Forces and your dedication and managerial experience in high-level positions, I hereby appoint you deputy chief of general staff of Iranian Armed Forces for Basij-related affairs.
I expect due cooperation on the part of the heads of the three government branches and other sectors and honorable social strata.

Leader Appoints Deputy Chief of General Staff of Iranian Armed Forces for Basij-Related Affairs
The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Armed Forces Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei in a decree issued on December 11, 2007 appointed Brigadier General Mohammad-Baqer Zolqadr deputy chief of general staff of Iranian Armed Forces for Basij-related affairs.
