Human values are being trampled on in the US the most

Imam Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met with the members of the cabinet today, August 23, 2020, on the first day of National Government Week and on the eve of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Martyrs Rajaee and Bahonar at the hands of the MEK terrorist group.

Pointing to the failure of various schools of thought in running and managing human societies, Imam Khamenei stated, “The US model has truly failed in this regard. Furthermore, it is a country where human values such as health, justice and security are trampled upon more than anywhere else in the world.”

In this videoconference, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution added, “Human values such as health, justice and security are trampled on in the US more than anywhere else in the world. Class inequalities are horrible there. The number and percentage of the hungry and homeless is more than other countries in the world. According to the explicit statements of presidential candidates, one out of five American children is hungry. In addition, the rate of insecurity and crimes is very high in the US.”

His Eminence stressed, “In addition to internal and managerial problems, murder, warmongering and causing insecurity are some of the most common actions perpetrated by the Americans in Syria, Palestine, and Yemen, and before that in Iraq, Afghanistan and areas such as Vietnam and Hiroshima.”

Imam Khamenei stated that the presence of such people at the top of the US government, who are a source of humiliation for that country, is another sign of the defeat of human models and westerners’ declining utopia. He added, “The independent model of Islam for creating a system and a society is built on the three pillars of faith, knowledge and justice. In the Islamic Republic, slogans and orientations are based on this. And, its role models are martyrs such as Beheshti, Bahonar, Rajai and Soleimani.”

Elsewhere in his statements, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to production as the basis and main key for resolving problems such as unemployment, issues in livelihood, inflation and the devaluation of the national currency. He went on to state, “You should work and put effort in these areas as much as you can.”

His Eminence said, “The country’s economy should not be tied in any way to foreign developments, because this is a strategic mistake.”

Imam Khamenei added, “Economic planning for the country should not wait for the sanctions to be lifted or for election results in such and such a country. For example, we should suppose that sanctions will continue for another 10 years. Therefore, we should focus on domestic capacities and resources. Of course, they may make good decisions, and in that case, we will benefit from them. However, the economic matters of the country should not be dependent on foreign developments.”
