President of Indonesia Meets with the Leader

 Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a meeting with the President of Indonesia, Mr. Yudhoyono, referred to the strategic approach of the Islamic Revolution to increased cooperation with other Islamic countries and said: "Through unity and increasing scientific, economic, cultural and political cooperation, the Islamic world can turn into a global power."

  Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, in a meeting with the Presidnt of Indonesia, Mr. Yudhoyono, referred to the strategic approach of the Islamic Revolution to increased cooperation with other Islamic countries and said: "Through unity and increasing scientific, economic, cultural and political cooperation, the Islamic world can turn into a global power."

The Leader went on to say that Islamic countries are holding an enormous portion of the world's wealth, population, lands and key passageways.

His Eminence described the American logic as power-based logic and added that "submission of nations to bullying global arrogance brings about backwardness for nations."

He described as appropriate and courageous the Indonesian reaction to the recent resolution passed by the UN Security Council and said that such decisions certainly bring about more prestige to a nation and its government.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the Non-Aligned Movement as a symbol of independence throughout the world and expressed hopes that the movement could base its activities on the initial goals and orientations.

Touching upon the efforts of the US and the Zionist regime to annihilate the Palestinian nation, the Leader said: "The Palestinian nation's resistance proved that this nation is alive and courageous, and the Islamic world must support them."

His Eminence referred to the strong ties between the two countries and stressed that the agreements should be translated into action.

In this meeting, which was also attended by the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Indonesian President referred to the rich cultural background and civilization of Iran and said that his country is ready to expand its relations with Iran in order to benefit from its valuable scientific experiences.

The Indonesian President described the stance taken by his country as having originated from its long-held beliefs and added "fighting against unilateralism and injustice in the world as well as strengthening ties with Islamic countries and the members of Non-Aligned Movement is one of Indonesian policies."

President Yudhoyono also declared his country's readiness to translate into action its agreements with Iran.
