On the holy occasion of Arbaeen, thousands of university students in Tehran conducted their evening prayers along with their Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. Afterwards, they took part in the mourning rituals marking this occasion.
Groups of students from various universities in Tehran, while mourning the occasion,
headed from Tehran University to the Imam Khomeini Husseiniyye. In the religious ceremony held there, the students along with the Leader, pledged allegiance to Imam Hussein (a.s.), the Lord of the Martyrs, mourned his martyrdom and the martyrdom of his loyal companions and the long-suffering captives of Karbala.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution later delivered a speech on the holy occasion of Arbaeen and the movement of Imam Hussein (a.s.) followeed by rouzeh-khani ceremonies commemorating the holy day of Arbaeen.
