TEHRAN June 28 -- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei here Monday highlighted the importance of hadiths (traditions) and stressed the need to recognize the different aspects to them. Given the multidimensional aspects of the hadiths, there should be expert studies and researches on hadiths, he said.
Ayatollah Khamenei told a group of students and lecturers at the Faculty of Hadith that it is the duty of scientific centers to identify distorted traditions from the genuine ones.
The Leader said that the hadith plays a key role in the social lives of the faithful.
The leader expressed gratitude to Hojatoleslam Mohammad Ray Shahri, the dean of the Faculty of Hadiths, for his endeavors in starting the center.
