In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful,
God's greetings be upon Muhammad and his pure progeny
The annual conference on prayers (Salat) is, on the one hand, a sign of rightly submitting to the religious obligation that can blow spirit into all other obligations and rituals, hence making them effective: “if it [salat] is accepted, all other deeds will be accepted, too[1].” On the other hand, it is a great service rendered to those who have not realized the value of this divine gift and are negligent towards it.
Prayers, when performed in humbleness and attentiveness, will elevate the society and lead it towards uprightness and integrity both in words and actions.
An important part of our calamities and contaminations derives from ignoring this alerting truth. Therefore, promoting prayers—via all influential methods—is among the great duties that we should all strive for; and you the organizers of this conference, in particular, the mujahid scholar, Hujjatul-Islam Qara’ati, have been bestowed divine grace on this path—all praise belongs to Allah.
The education and edification system can be among the most influential entities in this area. Adorn schools with performing prayers by teenaged students: this is the paramount guarantee for the wellbeing of the society in the future.
