The Grand Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei received a number of officials and executives in charge of the hajj pilgrimage on Wednesday, February 2.
In an address to the audience, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed his gratitude to Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Mohammadi-Rayshahri, the Leader's representative for the hajj affairs, and other executives in charge of the hajj pilgrimage for their sincere endeavors. The Leader, however, called for greater efforts to utilize all the existing potentials of this divine ritual.
Ayatollah Khamenei advised the officials to start making proper plans for the next year's pilgrimage in order that it may be directed in the most appropriate manner and so that the pilgrimage would provide a favorable opportunity to impart and elucidate the lofty Islamic teachings to the Iranian pilgrims and boost their spiritual qualities.
At the meeting, Hojjatoleslam Rayshahri presented a report about this year's great hajj congress. He said that holding the highly spiritual Kumail Supplication and the ceremony to voice disavowal of the infidels were the main features of this year's pilgrimage.
Hojjatoleslam Rayshahri further noted that during the hajj season this year, the signs of awakening of the Islamic world and the Muslims' increased enthusiasm for the Islamic Revolution were clearly visible.
