While meeting with a group of government managers and officials today (Monday), Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, congratulated the people on recent Eid occasions and the month of Rajab. He called these special days prominent opportunities for praying to and worshipping God, adding: “The key to solving problems is praying, always remembering God, and moral preparation of hearts; the month of Rajab is an Eid for those who look forward to morally improving their hearts.”
Emphasizing on the necessity of the officials’ continued focus on the goals of Islam and the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned: “Piety (taqwa) and avoidance of sins, betrayal, and seeking worldly luxuries, which guarantees the continued focus on goals and are absolutely necessary for the officials, are achieved via strengthening the relationship with God.”
Reminding the audience of the revolutionary spirit, with a will to offer services to the people, among Iranian leaders during the 1980’s, he remarked: “Do you remember the praiseworthy feeling and behaviours among the officials of that time? Do you remember their avoidance of worldly luxuries and their attention towards servicing the people? The problem is that sometimes those values are forgotten.”
The Leader of the Revolution mentioned self-vigilance as a means to stay away from ignorance and a gradual fall, stating: "All of us, administrators of the Islamic Republic, need to take care of our souls because the Islamic Republic was founded upon important goals and ideals, such as monotheism, divine governance, justice, liberty, and independence, and it is different from the common systems of governance in the world."
Elsewhere in his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei insisted on the necessity of structuring work and business space as the economic foundation of the country, and he added: "This is part of the mission of the Resistive Economy Joint Command, and they are working on solving the problems, but this mission has to be pursued energetically, and relentlessly.”
Expressing content about the general demand for local messaging apps and social networks he said: "the administration must guard and provide security for the people's privacy and the country. Invading the privacy and security of the people is forbidden, and against the Islamic law and must not be undertaken."
Ayatollah Khamenei finally added: "Those in charge of government and judicial organizations should endeavour to safeguard people's privacy and personal information.”
