The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei arrived in the holy city of Mashhad for a three-day visit on Monday, May 14.
Right after his arrival in Mashhad on Monday evening, the Leader paid a visit to the sacred shrine of His Holiness Imam Ali-ibn-Mousa ar-Reza (greetings be upon him).
During his three-day stay in Mashhad, Ayatollah Khamenei is expected to hold separate meetings with the academics and members of staff of the universities of Khorasan Province and the superior students and elites of the province.
The Leader will also meet the ulema and clergymen and the theology students of the Islamic seminaries of the province as well as the esteemed families of the honorable martyrs and former prisoners of war and war-disabled veterans of the Iraqi imposed war.
