The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei gave a message of condolence on the death of well-known Iranian poet Hassan Husseini here Monday.
Ayatollah Khamenei, in his message, referred to the death of the poet as a great tragedy for the literary community of Iran.
"This intelligent, freethinking, faithful and sincere poet was among the most prominent poets of today and one of our hopes for the future," he said.
Elsewhere in the message, the Leader described Husseini's researches and investigative contemplations as praiseworthy.
Ayatollah Khamenei further voiced his sympathy over Husseini's death to the poet's bereaved family, friends, colleagues and all lovers of Persian literature.
