Leader Attends Graduation Ceremony of Army Cadets

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, attended the graduation ceremony of a group of cadets of various military academies of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army on Wednesday, October 24.
At the beginning of the ceremony, which was held at Martyr Sattari Air Force Academy, the anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran was played when the Leader entered the parade ground. Then, Ayatollah Khamenei paid homage to the honorable martyrs of the Sacred Defense in front of the Martyrs Memorial.
Afterwards, the Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Armed Forces reviewed the military units present on the parade ground.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei described Iranian Armed Forces as the strong arms of the country and nation. He stated that the feeling of security and peace of mind would prepare the ground for the material and spiritual progress of any nation.
"Today the Iranian nation, thanks to its powerful and vigilant armed forces, has this glorious national feeling," Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
The Leader of the Islamic Republic also referred to the precious experience of the valorous commanders who showed during the Sacred Defense era that they would persevere in defending their country and their religion to the last drop of their blood. He stressed that all members of Iranian Armed Forces are expected to follow the path of those sincere and honorable personalities.
Further in his statements, the Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Armed Forces paid tribute to the martyred General Sattari, who was the founder of the Air Force Academy. He also underlined the need to raise the scientific capabilities of the military academies of Iranian Armed Forces.
"Research, initiative and creativity, skill and experience and complete discipline as well as boosting the spirit of faith and piety should be pursued as the main objectives at the military academies of Iranian Armed Forces," Ayatollah Khamenei observed.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Chief Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army Major General Ata'ollah Salehi welcomed the Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Armed Forces to Martyr Sattari Air Force Academy. Also, Brigadier General Sheikh-Hassani, the commander of Martyr Sattari Air Force Academy, presented a report about the scientific and educational and cultural activities of the academy.
Further during the ceremony, a number of exemplary officers and instructors and cadets and a group of former prisoners of war and war-disabled veterans of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Air Force received awards from the Leader of the Islamic Republic. Also, the representatives of graduates received their epaulets from Ayatollah Khamenei.
At the end of the ceremony, the military units present on the parade ground marched past the Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Armed Forces, and then field maneuvers were carried out.
