Leader's Condolatory Message on Demise of Hojjatoleslam Akhondi

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei on August 1, 2005, issued a condolatory message on the demise of the dedicated cleric and scholar Hojjatoleslam Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Akhondi. In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I express my condolences over the demise of the dedicated cleric and scholar Hojjatoleslam Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Akhondi to his respected family and relatives and to all those who are fond of Islamic culture and knowledge.

This diligent and hard-working cleric took great strides in the dissemination of Islamic knowledge with laudable patience and perseverance over tens of years, and some significant scientific books handed down to us by the past generations became available to the researchers and scholars through his valuable and vigorous efforts.

The late Hojjatoleslam Akhondi played an important and unforgettable role in the publication of scientific books and the promulgation of Islamic knowledge. May Almighty Allah reward him for his endeavors and bestow favor and remission on his soul.
