Leader Appoints New IRGC Air Force Commander

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, in a decree issued on August 25, 2005 appointed Brigadier General Alireza Zahedi Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC ) Air Force. In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Brigadier General Alireza Zahedi,

Considering that you have been recommended by the Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and in view of your bright record, valuable service and considerable experience, I hereby appoint you Commander of the IRGC Air Force.

You are expected to raise the level of the force's efficiency in an optimal manner by utilizing existing potential and capabilities within the framework of defined tasks and assignments.

I express my appreciation and gratitude for the valuable service rendered and efforts made by Brigadier General Ahmad Kazemi in his capacity as commander of the IRGC Air Force.

I pray to Almighty Allah for your increased success in performing your responsibilities.
