Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met Saturday afternoon with one thousand students from throughout the country. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence described the battle against global arrogance as one of the ideals of students, stressing: "The main reason behind the enmity of global bullies towards the people of Iran is the refusal of the Islamic Republic to embrace the system based on an oppressor and the oppressed."
Referring to the methods that Marxist and Communist groups use to impose their ideas on others, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said: "If the news about the return of the Marxist orientation to some of our universities is true, then we can be sure that the U.S. money is behind it and their goal is to separate and disintegrate students from one another."
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the one-hundred-day bombardment of Yemen and the savage massacre of innocent people in that country, adding: "The liberal west, that claims to advocate freedom, does not open its mouth to speak against the Saudi crimes. Instead of condemning the bombers, the United Nations Security Council has condemned the victims of these bombardments in one of its most disgraceful resolutions."
His Eminence stated that the main reason why the Saudis and their supporters have bombarded the houses of Yemeni people is their rage and anger at Iran's influence in the region. He reiterated: "Despite their claims, Islamic Iran's influence in the region originates from a divine blessing, not from a physical force and from the power of weapons. Like Shahid Beheshti, we would like to say to the enemies of the people, ‘Go and die of your rage and anger.'"
When a student asked whether students should continue fighting against arrogance after the nuclear negotiations, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution answered: "According to Quranic principles, fighting against arrogance and global imperialism is never-ending and today, America is the very epitome of arrogance."
Ayatollah Khamenei added: "We have said to our negotiating officials that they should only negotiate on the nuclear issue. Despite the fact that the American side sometimes brings up regional issues such as the issue of Syria and Yemen, our officials have refused to negotiate with them on these matters. Fighting against arrogance is one of the principles of the Revolution. It is a fundamental task. Therefore, you should prepare yourselves for continuing the battle against arrogance.
His Eminence stated that the Iranian youth's enthusiasm, dynamism and motivation in different arenas of the country refute the claim that some hostile centers in the world make about our youth's depression. He stressed: "This blatant and vicious lie is an excuse to promote decadent forms of freedom."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution reiterated that the brutal murder of 80 children by a European youth, the willingness of the European youth to join DAESH and to commit suicide through suicide attacks are instances of the European youth's depression, further adding: "The Iranian youth - who participate in Quds Day rallies in the heat of the summer and while they are fasting - are lively and enthusiastic and they are miles away from depression."
