Ayatollah Khamenei the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces visited an exhibition arranged to display research achievements of the Armed Forces in the area of defense. During the visit, which lasted more than six hours, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed: "The main purpose of producing weapons in the Islamic Republic of Iran is to defend Iran and to counter the bullying enemies. This is while the main goal of producing weapons in the west is trade and increasing the wealth of the owners of arms factories and companies."The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that it is beneficial to have various research centers in different organizations affiliated to the Armed Forces. He added that research centers should cooperate effectively and complement each other's work in order to prevent waste of time and energy.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces reiterated: "Research centers must not focus on product only, rather they must try to improve science and technology as well."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed the need for supporting researchers and strengthening research centers of the Armed Forces, further adding: "Research centers must have scientific cooperation with our universities."
At the end of his statements, His Eminence said: "With the efforts of the Armed Forces, the sanctions will prove ineffective and they will harm the enemies of the Iranian nation in the end."
