Ayatollah Khamenei the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces attended the graduation ceremony of a group of cadets from Imam Hussein (a.s.) Military Academy. Speaking during the ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei said that Iran needs people who are faithful, hardworking, innovative and insightful. He added: "The failure of the policies of the Great Satan in the strategic Middle East region and the auspicious revival of Islamic slogans among the protesting nations of the region are the manifestations of what Allah the Exalted has promised for the Iranian nation. And resistance and steadfastness on this path will bring about full divine support." The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the Islamic Revolution's Guards Corps (IRGC) has had a brilliant record in different arenas during the past 32 years. He added that the active, successful and effective role of the IRGC in the movement of the Islamic Revolution is because of the firm foundation of the IRGC. "This firm foundation was built during the challenging events of the early years of the Revolution by faithful and selfless men who were full of revolutionary enthusiasm."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the recent events in the region are manifestations of what God has promised for the Iranian nation, further adding: "Since the beginning of the Revolution, the Great Satan has made the best of its military, financial, propaganda and political empire in order to defeat the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation, but the realities of the political arena of Iran and the region show that today America has been brought to its knees against the Revolution."
His Eminence said that political analysts admit the failure of the most important Middle East policies of the US. He added: "Thirty years ago the Great Satan had only lost one of its corrupt allies - namely, the Pahlavi regime. But today the US is losing many of the regimes that are dependent on it."
His Eminence stated that Islam and the Holy Quran are very popular among the regional nations. "And this is the flag which was raised by the Iranian nation in the year 1357."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the US failure regarding the issue of Palestine is another sign of America's defeat. He reiterated: "During the past weeks and after the passage of 60 years, Palestinian youth in different countries of the region broke through the borders of the Zionist regime on Nakba Day in an unprecedented move, and this pleasant reality is a sign of the fulfillment of the divine promise of victory for Islam and Muslims."
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces said that steadfastness and vigilance of the Iranian nation and its government officials are the requirements for the fulfillment of divine promises. He stressed: "All of us must take care not to give up during this great and accelerated movement. We must not forget the main goals, and we must take care not to be distracted by secondary issues."
His Eminence added that those who forgot the revolutionary ideals of the Iranian nation and went after their personal interests committed a big and unpardonable sin.
At the end of the ceremony, the military units present on the parade ground marched past the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces.
