To the Honorable Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Abul-Hassan Fatemi (may his blessings continue),
Now that Mr. Nekounam, the esteemed, dedicated Friday Prayer Leader of Shahr-e Kord, has stepped down, I hereby appoint you as the Imam [leader] of Shahr-e Kord and as my representative in the province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, as you have a commendable record in academics and deeds, praise God.
The Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province has played a significant role during our country’s critical and historic periods, and it has been among the most active regions. A prime example of this was seen during the Sacred Defense, where the faith, zeal, and sincerity of the local populace, especially the youth of that region, are unforgettable. I now advise you to empathize and engage in thoughtful discussions with the promising youth of that province and for you to strengthen their religious foundations and revolutionary orientation. I pray to God for the well-being of all the dear people of that region and for your continued success in serving them.
