Ayatollah Khamenei the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces participated in a joint graduation ceremony of the cadets at Imam Hussain Military Academy. Addressing the cadets, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that when knowledge, jihad, faith, and strong determination come together in a community, they will create individuals who can fill the world with hope.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution described knowledge as a divine blessing and added: "Unfortunately, some people misused this divine blessing and gave rise to corruption, hostility, and oppression. As a result, the world was divided into two parts: the oppressors and the oppressed."
His Eminence said that the victory of the Islamic Revolution was a great uprising of the humanity against this state of affairs, further reiterating: "The Islamic Revolution in Iran was the cry of Islam, monotheism, justice, and human dignity in a world that was full of oppression."
Ayatollah Khamenei added: "Those who advise the Iranian nation to return to the global system are the same people who used to express their dissatisfaction with Iranian nation's movement during the Revolution."
"This return to the global system means surrendering to bullying powers and accepting the unfair status quo. But throughout the past 30 years, the Iranian nation has constantly rejected this unwise and illogical request," he said.
Ayatollah Khamenei added: "The purpose of all the pressure exerted on the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic during the past 30 years was to undermine the high position and the spiritual basis of the Revolution. Of course they have failed in their efforts so far and they will not achieve the results they want in the future either."
Addressing the cadets of Imam Hussain Military Academy, the Leader said: "You are the guardians of this sacred truth and identity and you must be proud of this position."
Ayatollah Khamenei advised the youth to pay attention to spiritual aspects of life and reiterated: "Arrogant powers often try to impose their ideas on other nations through the use of intimidation, but the spiritual power of faithful and knowledgeable youth will undoubtedly be more awe-inspiring than their material power."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also visited the aerodynamic research center of Imam Hussain Military Academy and inspected the process of constructing supersonic wind tunnels. Supersonic wind tunnels are used in designing missiles and rockets.
The wind tunnel technology was tested successfully in the presence of the Leader at the aerodynamic research center of Imam Hussain Military Academy.
His Eminence stressed the scientific capability of the faithful and revolutionary Iranian youth and added: "The scientific progress and achievements of Iran are not comparable to previous years."
His Eminence reiterated: "In spite of the fast pace of scientific progress in the country, there is a long way to go before we can achieve an appropriate position and make up for the backwardness we have suffered. But the efforts of our young scientists will make this possible."
