Ayatollah Khamenei appoints new head of Ahlulbait (a.s) International Council

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution—Ayatollah Khamenei—issued a decree wherein His Eminence appointed Hujjatul-Islam Wal-Muslimin Ramezani to the position of the Secretary-General of Ahlulbait (a.s.) International Council. The following is the full text of the decree:



In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful,

Your Excellency, Hujjatul-Islam Wal-Muslimin Hajj Sheikh Reza Ramezani (may his dignity persist),

At the suggestion of the honourable board members of Ahlulbait (a.s.) International Council, I hereby appoint you, who enjoy commitment, academic background and abundant experience overseas, to the position of the Secretary-General of Ahlulbait (a.s.) International Council.

It is hoped that by innovative approach considering the sensitive international circumstances, and the important position of the followers of Ahlulbait (a.s.), as well as by engaging intellectual, young, productive and eminent human forces, and effective communication with scholars, in particular, with the honorable board members and the General Council, you can be successful in promoting the teachings of pure Islam and enhancing unity among the Islamic Ummah.

I express my gratitude and appreciation for the efforts and sincere services made by Hujjatul-Islam Akhtari, during the time he was in charge of the management of the Council.

I ask Allah the Great to bestow success on everyone in performing the assigned duties.
