During the meeting, Imam Khamenei expressed his appreciation for the remarkable turnout and uproar of the Iranian nation during the International Quds Day rallies. “The rally that took place on Quds Day was a remarkable international political move, which, according to the information we have received from experts, there was truly a general uproar in the country on Quds Day, with larger crowds than in previous years,” he emphasized.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution underscored that the issue of Gaza is of paramount significance and cannot be disregarded, asserting that it occupies a position of utmost importance among the concerns of the Islamic world. “All of us should feel we have a responsibility with regard to Gaza,” he said.
One the same note, he underlined that the hearts of the nations, even the non-Muslim nations, are with the oppressed people of Palestine and Gaza, as evidenced by the unprecedented rallies in Africa, Asia, Europe, and even the US itself against the crimes of the Zionists.
Imam Khamenei noted that despite long-term Zionist control over the world's media and their efforts to prevent the transmission of the voice and message of Palestine, the issue of Palestine has become the primary concern of nations. He considered this shift to be indicative of new developments in the Islamic world, while expressing disappointment in the failure of governments to fulfill their responsibilities despite the sense of duty felt by the nations.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that the current unfortunate reality is the support that some Islamic countries are providing to the Zionist regime at the height of the regime’s crimes against women and children. Imam Khamenei highlighted that the Islamic Republic of Iran expects and urges Islamic governments to cut off all political and economic relations with the Zionist regime.
In this regard, he underscored that this is the collective expectation of all Muslim nations in the event of a referendum in Islamic countries. He stated that at the very least, as long as the crimes persist, Islamic governments should consider temporarily cutting their relations with and support for the Zionist regime.
