Leader Meets With Bolivian President

 The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei in a meeting today with Bolivian President, Evo Morales, and his accompanying delegation referred to the Bolivian president's re-election in the recent referendum in Bolivia, and added: "The democratic attitude of the Bolivian president, his attention to underprivileged people, and his efforts to render services to the Bolivian people are valuable characteristics, and these characteristics would bring honor to all nations."

His Eminence also stressed that the recent developments in Bolivia are pleasant events for all nations and freedom-seeking countries and added: "The vigilance of Latin American countries and their steadfastness in defending their rights are propitious events that will displease the superpowers."

Ayatollah Khamenei further added: "The arrogant powers will undoubtedly exert pressure on Bolivia, because they are opposed to such tendencies. However, resistance, maintaining high spirits and reliance on God will lead to the ultimate victory of the Bolivian nation."

Ayatollah Khamenei also expressed hopes that the negotiations between the two countries would lead to further expansion of relations between the two countries.

In this meeting which was also attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Mr. Morales expressed his delight at the meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei, and said that the vigilance of the Bolivian nation and other Latin American countries will start the process of liberating this region from the domination of imperialist powers. He added: "Cultural, social and political changes are increasing in Latin American countries on a day to day basis."

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Morales expressed hopes that the achievements and experience of the Iranian nation would contribute to the progress and development of his country.
