Leader Meets with Families of Martyrs and War Veterans

Ayatollah Khamenei the Leader of the Islamic Revolution met Saturday evening with the families of martyrs and war veterans of North Khorasan province. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence said that just because certain people have turned their backs on the Islamic Revolution does not mean the Revolution has stopped moving forward.

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated: "There was a day when our soldiers were fighting in the battlefields and today our youth - who did not meet our Imam (r.a.) and were not present during the Sacred Defense Era - are in the vanguard of resistance against the greed of the superpowers."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the number of people who have joined the Revolution is far larger than the number of people who have turned their backs on the Revolution. He added that today Iranian youth are as determined and aware as the youth of the Sacred Defense Era.

His Eminence stressed: "Today our society is full of brave and aware youth who are familiar with the latest developments and different political issues. They are among the people who have joined the Revolution."

Ayatollah Khamenei said that certain people misjudge the young generation. He dismissed the concerns that are voiced about the young generation and added that Iranian youth are pious and committed to the Revolution.
