The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei attended a mourning ceremony marking the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful His Holiness Imam Ali ibn Abitaleb (greetings be upon him) on Wednesday, October 3.
The ceremony, which was held at the Husseiniyeh of Imam Khomeini, was also attended by a large number of the Iranian people from different social strata and various walks of life.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the participants said their noon prayer, which was led by Ayatollah Khamenei. Afterwards, a eulogist of the Holy Prophet's household (greetings be upon them) recited some elegies in lamentation over the martyrdom of the Commander of the Faithful His Holiness Imam Ali ibn Abitaleb (greetings be upon him).
