The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei attended a mourning ceremony on Tuesday, October 25.
The mourning ceremony marked the martyrdom anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful and Master of the Pious, Imam Ali-ibn-Abitaleb (greetings be upon him).
A large number of faithful and devoted Tehran residents from different social strata participated at the ceremony. The mourning ceremony was held following the noon prayer, which was led by Ayatollah Khamenei.
One of the eulogists of the progeny of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his infallible household) recited some elegies in lamentation over the martyrdom of Imam Ali-ibn-Abitaleb (greetings be upon him).
