The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, will hold a memorial ceremony to commemorate martyred Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) officers on January 14.
The IRGC Ground Force Commander Major General Ahmad Kazemi and a number of other senior IRGC officers were martyred when their airplane crashed near the city of Orumiyeh in Western Azarbaijan Province on January 9.
According to a communiqué released by the Leader's Office, the memorial ceremony will be held at Shahid Motahhari Higher Education School on Saturday, January 14 from 9:00 to 11:00 in the morning.
