Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, re-appointed Ayatollah Amoli Larijani as the head of the judiciary branch. The following is the full text of this edict issued on August 14, 2014.

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Sadiq Amoli Larijani (may his achievements continue),

Expressing my appreciation for your scholarly and valuable efforts as the head of the judiciary branch in this term, I hereby re-appoint you - on the basis of Article 157 of the Constitution - for another term in order to carry out this important responsibility.

Benefitting from the infrastructures that were built in past decades, using your experience in the first term, interacting and cooperating with the other two branches of the government, making an effort to implement the general policies and outlooks of the Islamic Republic - particularly in preparing the ground for everyone's easy access to justice - shortening the path of legal procedures, revising laws and preparing the bills that the judiciary branch needs, ensuring the health of affiliated organizations with due supervision, combating corruption in a fundamental way, and most importantly, providing social security and preventing crimes with the help of organizations in charge and seizing opportunities will help us meet the expectation of achieving blossoming and a leap in the judiciary branch and implementing the principles of the Constitution. Furthermore, these courses of action will help us to enforce Islamic law, to administer justice in the real sense of the word and - by Allah's permission - to get close to obtaining the approval of Allah the Exalted.

By Allah's favor and grace, your outstanding, intelligent, revolutionary and sincere management will guarantee meeting the above-mentioned needs and points.

I ask Allah the Exalted to bestow success on you and your honorable and good colleagues.

Sayyid Ali Khamenei
