Shahid Moussavi-Mofrad

Ayatollah Khamenei issues a message on the martyrdom of veteran Moussavi Mofrad

Following the martyrdom of the disabled security defense veteran, Sayyed-Nour-Khoda Moussavi Mofrad, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution expressed condolences as well as congratulations to the people of Lorestan Province and the family of the honored martyr, via a spoken message.

The Chief Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Police Force—General Hossein Ashtari—who participated in the funeral of the martyr on Thursday, November 8, 2018 held in Khorram-Abad, delivered a speech wherein he stated: “Through a phone conversation with the Office of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, it was announced that the Leader of the Revolution held: ‘When you participate in the funeral ceremony, convey our greetings to the people of Lorestan, and the family of the martyr, and on my behalf, congratulate them and express condolences on his martyrdom.’”

Sayyed-Nour-Khoda Moussavi Mofrad, a police officer, was hit on the head by a ballot shot by the terrorist group steered by Abdolmalik Rigi on March 7, 2009, in the Lar region of Sistan-Baluchistan, leaving him in a coma ever since. While serving in Sistan-Baluchistan, Moussavi-Mofrad—originally from Lorestan— became 100 percent disabled and hence dubbed as the living martyr of the country. He spent ten years in a coma until he left this world for the Heavens on the anniversary of the passing away of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan (a.s.).
