The following is the full text of the message delivered on December 26, 2016 by Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on the demise of Hujjatul-Islam wal Muslimeen Hajj Sayyid Kadhim Husseini Mianji who passed away Sunday morning at the age of 84.
In the year 1361, Hujjatul-Islam wal Muslimeen Mianji was appointed as the Friday prayer leader of Khorramabad by the late Imam (Allah the Exalted’s paradise be upon him). In 1362, he was appointed as Imam’s (r.a.) representative in Lorestan province. After Imam’s (r.a.) demise, he held that position until 1387 by appointment of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Due to the occurrence of the demise of the valuable scholar – the late Hujjatul-Islam wal Muslimeen Hajj Sayyid Kadhim Husseini Mianji who carried out his divine duty as the representative of Imam (r.a.) and myself in Lorestan province for many years – I express my condolences to his honorable family and children as well as to the people of Lorestan and to his admirers.
I ask God to bestow His mercy, forgiveness and paradise on that blissful departed personality.
